Y Profit is a business bookkeeping app. Your data lives on your device and optionally in your own Google Drive account. We do not operate servers that store your business data.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to help improve the app.
Y Profit's use of Google Drive API is limited to storing and retrieving your backup file from your personal Drive App Data folder. Your data is never accessed, shared, or used for any purpose beyond backup and restore.
This complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Y Profit uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-VXYRHGQ31S) to collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, and approximate location (city/country only).
No business records, financial data, or personal identifiers are ever sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out at any time — see Section 4f for instructions.
Y Profit is an offline-first business bookkeeping application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Y Profit operates primarily on your device. Most data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable Google Drive backup. We also use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app.

Y Profit offers an optional Google Drive backup feature. Here is exactly how it works:
When you connect Google Drive, Y Profit requests permission to access only the "drive.appdata" scope. This is a restricted, private folder inside your Google Drive that:
We do NOT request access to your Google Drive files, Google Photos, Gmail, Google Contacts, or any other Google service.
Y Profit saves a single file named "yprofit-backup.json" inside your Drive App Data folder. This file contains your business records (sales, products, expenses) for backup and restore purposes.
Your backup data is stored exclusively in YOUR personal Google Drive account. Y Profit's developer has zero access to your backup data. Not even the app developer can read, view, or retrieve your backup.
The backup file is used solely to restore your data when you reinstall the app or switch devices, and to sync data silently in the background to prevent data loss. Your business records are never used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or shared with any third party.
You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the Business Profile section inside the app. You can also revoke access from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account access.
Y Profit uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Analytics data is used solely to understand which features are used most, identify and fix usability problems, and improve the app experience for all users. It is never used for advertising or sold to any third party.
Y Profit operates across two domains: yprofit.com.ng and app.yprofit.com.ng. Google Analytics is configured to link sessions across both domains so your visit is counted as one continuous session rather than two separate ones.
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn more at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.

Primary storage: Your device's local browser storage (IndexedDB). Data remains on your device at all times unless you enable Google Drive backup.
Cloud storage (optional): If Google Drive backup is enabled, your data is stored in your own Google Drive App Data folder as described in Section 3. Y Profit does not operate any cloud server or database that stores your business records.
Analytics data: Anonymous usage data collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google's servers in accordance with Google's data retention policies.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data or business records with any third party.

Y Profit is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has used this app, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features change. We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of Y Profit after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
